Grand Neptune is a Mid-Century Modern architectural masterpiece, updated with modern amenities, curated for years by our family and now available for limited rental opportunities. Pictures do not do this home and the views from it justice. This is an extremely special retreat on one of the finest beaches in San Diego.
This home features 2,700 square-feet of versatile floor space on two levels, with three bedrooms and three full baths. It is ideal for a multi-generational family or two to three couples travelling together.
The main level of the home features two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The main level master suite comes complete with a walk in closet and a full en-suite bathroom, complete with separate shower and jetted tub. The second bedroom downstairs has a queen bed and is adjacent to a full bath with shower. The main level of the home also features the full gourmet kitchen, laundry, serene living area and a tv room, most with unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean.
The upstairs master bedroom is separated from the main level of the home and is accessible though the home's intimate courtyard and up a small flight of stairs. This room, to put it simply, is stunning. Views of the Pacific are unobstructed, the en-suite bathroom is a masterpiece of design and craftsmanship.
In short, words simply cannot adequately describe what a serene and beautiful retreat this is. With incomparable ocean views from the master bedroom and the living, dining and kitchen areas, guests can savor the natural beauty of La Jolla's Windansea Beach from just about every room in the house.
Glass doors open to fabulous wood decks, just steps from the beach; and a private stone patio with an outdoor fire pit and a hydrotherapy hot tub grace the backyard.
The state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with the finest appliances and gourmet details, suitable for entertaining a group or for preparing a quiet supper for two.
In the late 1960s, famed Southern California architect Kendrick Bangs Kellogg designed this home in wood, glass and concrete, complementing the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Years later, San Diego's finest artisans, along with the talent of architect Yum Kee Fu, masterfully updated, renovated and decorated this amazing home into one of La Jolla's most luxurious homes.
